Slipway
MMA's Slipway is located at the Dampier Supply Base and is capable of docking vessels of up to 3200 tonne displacement. The Slipway provides timely maintenance and repair for our expanding fleet in the North West and ensures that MMA is capable of servicing our clients’ range of marine requirements safely and with a degree of reliability that no other operator in the region can provide. The proximity of the Slipway also allows us to time our regulatory dockings to meet our clients’ requirements.
In addition to routine and emergency dockings, our skilled fabrication, mechanical and electrical staff provide our clients’ vessels with a wide range of marine maintenance services, including:
- Mobilisations
- General fabrication and repair in steel, stainless steel and aluminium
- Heavy engineering and diesel fitting
- Electrical marine maintenance
- Electronic maintenance
- Blasting and painting
- Hydraulic repair
- Propulsion system servicing and repair including CPP and Azimuthing Drive units
- Refrigeration servicing
- Flow hose inspections / survey / and repair
The Slipway commenced operations in 2001 and has docked over 500 vessels for clients such as Teekay Shipping, Svitzer, Swire Pacific, Tidewater, Farstad, Rio Tinto, Boskalis and Van Oord.
